OTF Teacher Voice on Assessment
The OTF Teacher Voice on Assessment Survey The OTF Teacher Voice on Assessment Survey is an opportunity for secondary school teachers to share their views on the assessment practices they use on a daily basis. All secondary school teachers in Ontario received an invitation letter from OTF/FEO inviting all teacher members to complete the anonymous survey available at www.surveymonkey.com/tva. The OTF TVA survey can also be accessed through the OTF/FEO website at www.otffeo.on.ca and from the "Member News" section of the Provincial OSSTF/FEESO website at www.osstf.on.ca. The survey will be live until March 19, 2010 which is the last Friday of the March Break. OSSTF/FEESO encourages all teacher members, who are currently teaching courses involving student assessment and evaluation, to complete the survey as frankly as possible. The input from the members on the confidential 20 minute survey will provide important information that will help OSSTF/FEESO in its advocacy role on issues related to credit integrity and assessment, evaluation, and reporting (AE&R) initiatives from the Ministry and Boards. The final component of the survey provides an opportunity for any personal comments that you feel are pertinent. The greater the participation of OSSTF/FEESO teacher members on the OTF TVA survey the more valuable the information that will be collected to help all members of OSSTF/FEESO. Thank you for sharing this information so quickly with your members and do not forget to fill in your copy of the survey. Please consider including the link to the OTF TVA survey on your website, in your newsletter, and in other forms of communication with your members so that every OSSTF/FEESO teacher member can have her or his voice heard on issues related to AE&R. If you require any other information or wish to make a comment about the OTF Teacher Voice on Assessment (TVA) Research project and survey please contact Marc Robillard at robillm@osstf.on.ca or at 1.800.267.7867 at extension 225. |
